Dining Space: Modern luxury marble dining table connect with island

Welcome to our croissant & kopi's home again! This is the area that we prepare food and catch up with our friends and family. 
Mrs kopi has always wanted an island. During the renovation process, she shared with ID that her first request was to have an island. It has been 2 months since we moved into this home this is still one of our best decision ever. Our ID (Jeremy) from Renostud.io came out with a great idea to have LED light under the island to make it more elegance. The island was designed with a lot of storage place. Drawer sizes are divided into small, medium and large on the left. The first drawer is for our cutlery. Everyone laughed when we showed off the golden tableware. We just want to experience what it's like to have cafe style gold tableware. Second drawer for plates and bowls And third drawer for large serving bowls and food containers. We also install power track on the right side of the island for steamboat and work station use. It took us awhile when searching for our dining table because we wanted one that could be shortened when it was just the two of us. When guests come, the table can be extended to cater our needs. We have visited a few furniture stores in both Singapore and Malaysia but we couldn't find a table that match our requirements. In the end, we decided to order a customized dining table on Taobao. This is a ceramic marble dining table resistance to scratches, stains, and heat. 160cm before extend and 180cm after extend. After extend, the table great enough for seating 7 people. The marble color and pattern that we chose is also as close as possible to the pattern on the island, so that it looks more consistent. We also opt for white fluted panel from Xingfloor. We visited their showroom at Tampines and was so impressed by the selections they could offer. According to the sales person, this fluted panel does not collect dust easily. As first, we didn't take it seriously because we are expecting ourselves to clean more often as long as it is white. After moved in for 2 months, we only cleaned once and there is no dust on it !
