  • Yes, as the title suggests, we overestimated our bedroom size and ended up with a California king bed frame. After knocking down the wall between the common bedroom and master bedroom, we discovered that the remaining space was narrower than anticipated due to the beams. Despite this, we decided to make it work. So, welcome to our bedroom! :) We have both day and night curtains, as we want to daylight to come in yet have some privacy. Although the next building is pretty far away, thankfully.
  • Our bedroom corner is still WIP, as we wanted to make it a cozy pet corner for luna. For now, this is it.
  • When you first enter, this is what you'll see. We've converted the previous master bedroom into a wardrobe and vanity space because we didn't want our bed next to the bathroom. You might notice there's not much walking space since the bed takes up most of the room's width. Luckily, we chose a lower bed frame, which makes it easy to walk across. We'll share the bathroom details another time.
  • Got our side tables from Taobao, to match our rattan vanity cabinets.
  • Here’s the view from inside our bedroom. We worked with the beams that couldn’t be removed and mounted our TV on the wall instead. The previous door to this room was also sealed up (right below the AC). We opted for dark-tinted glass on the wardrobe to keep things visually calm and non-distracting.
  • View when the lights in the wardrobe is on (:
  • Lastly, low bed frame means this one can hog the bed more often.
