  • Hi everyone! We are Trulee.home and welcome to our 4 room BTO in the East. We self-designed our home (worked with a main contractor without an interior designer) and tried to retain the fittings under the HDB Optional Component Scheme (OCS) as much as possible. We also preferred to decorate our home with movable furnitures and fittings rather than built-ins where possible. Our house mainly incorporated a mixture of neutral colours (beige, grey, brown) and different wood furnitures/ textures, as well as fluted and curved edges here and there to give a more cozy and softer look.
  • Our dining area features the ivory linen lantern lamp which is also the centrepiece of the house :) We liked that it's linen material which gives out cozy vibes and the fringing also made it look more unique than other lantern lamps!
  • We moved in during the favourite month of the year and of course we'll have to get a Christmas Tree to soak in the festive vibes! Our criteria for a TV console is that it has be curved and fluted to soften the look. So glad we managed to find this beautiful piece from Hipvan with a gorgeous walnut colour to match the rest of the wood furnitures in our house.
  • Just a closer look of the TV console and our self-decorated Christmas tree :)
  • My husband and I cook quite often so we made sure we catered space for a dishwasher during the renovation planning phase. It is also our first time using an induction hob (we chose it for the sleek look and easier cleaning) and we are loving how fast it takes to heat up/ cook our food so far! Chose a subway tile backsplash for the aesthetics and the smooth surface makes it really easy to clean so far.
  • We went with an open shelf on the other side of the kitchen so it looks more spacious and we can also display some of the knick knacks / easy-reach items. Also did a curved edge at the entrance for a softer look, and just so we don't hurt ourselves if we knock into the edges accidentally
  • Onto our common bathroom! We overlaid the wall and floor tiles with bigger 60cm x 60cm grey stone looking tiles hoping to make the (small) space look bigger. Also chose a open glass shower screen (just for protecting the vanity cabinet only) so the space looks more open and bigger. Again, curved edges and round surfaces for a softer look :)
  • A peek into our master bedroom! We are still waiting for our curtains and side tables to be installed so this is still a WIP!
  • Similar to our common bathroom, we also overlaid the wall and floor tiles of the master bathroom with 60cm x 60cm tiles, but chose a beige colour and added spotlights to create a warm space.
