Hi and welcome again ! This time we will share about why we get this unit as our second home and what we can save on the renovation cost. Our criteria to hunt our second dream home it has to be more spacious as we are work from home parents, secondly kids need their own room, morning sun, walking distance to amenities and school. We know for this second home we will spend much more on the unit itself as well on the renovation cost. 
We know what we want in term of concept and colour scheme, we try to get the unit with good conditions so at least we can save a few things. So we save part of existing living floor and part of false ceiling. 
This is the unit looks like when we purchased definitetly beautifully done up but the layout doesn't works for us. But we keep the floor as well the ceiling. Ceiling design it doesn't suit our liking so we modify it to achive design that we want. So from saving this floor and ceiling will save us roughly more than 5K. 
The old corridor look 
The corridor now, with more woody element. We changed the living floor with wooden tiles to have more cozy feels. 
We add more carpentry works to hide common bathroom and store room doors. 
Common bathroom hide behind wall feature paneling. 
This is the look of old master bedroom. We saved this existing false ceiling and modify it abit. The looks of master bedroom now. If we calculate maybe not much we can save on from the previous unit condition. But nothing can compared with the view and convenience once we stay in, is like even you can have unit that match your design requirement maybe you won't get beautiful view or morning sun. So we need to carefuly planned out what is criteria to get our dream unit.
