Hi guys, you’re the first guests for Raya! This is our second Raya at WumahWishun, and we’ve learned quite a few things from last year.
Firstly, we had to change out our coffee table to something that can be moved around easily so that we could accommodate more guest! We’ve also made sure that our TV and sofa layout is most optimal for viewing too! The Serif TV is great because it does not have as much glare as other TVs plus, it could be easily repositioned.
TIP: Layer your furniture and items with colours and textures! This makes your space come to life with many points of interest. Just be careful so that it does not look to cluttered.
Whats WumahWishun without it’s quirky novelties? For a year, we went by without a tissue box and alas, we’ve found the perfect one.

And to complete the Raya set-up, Raya cookies (which we’ve eaten ahahaha) We’re not putting these cookies in canisters yet as we want to share with our families and friends that they’re baked by Special Needs students! Our little way of showing support for those in need ❤️
And colourful LED lights to set the festive mood! Instead of hanging it at our curtain, we have DIYed a LED light strip to a tripod stand that we weren’t using. Lastly, a little hand touch, we’ve done up our own Raya Flag with an illustration of us! Selamat Hari Raya to all our Muslim Friends and happy holidays to the others!
