Hello and welcome to toilet week! We have a few bathrooms in the house but we'll just cover the master bedroom one since it's used most by us. This bathroom was gutted entirely to give it a total refresh. Colors were kept to neutrals and light wood, to keep it looking airy and timeless. Darker grey 60x60 tiles were used for the wet areas and lighter ones in the same family were used outside, while a marble-design quartz counter sits atop our cabinetry. 
There used to be a bathtub here but we hacked it away and levelled it into a shower area. We had a bathtub in the previous house and never used it at all so having one again would be a mistake and also not great when we become old. Floor to ceiling glass panels are in place to keep the toilet dry, with a swing door for access. The bathroom has large panels of windows so there's lots of air circulation. Hopefully this will keep mold at bay! 
Here's a photo of the bathroom pre reno and with the bathtub. It was a pretty serviceable bathroom but just looked a bit tired. Plus, as mentioned, it may be a bit dangerous to climb in and out of a wet bathtub. Back to current day, we have a wide-angled shot of the bathroom from the other direction. All of our toilets have wall mounted toilet bowls to enhance aesthetics and for ease of cleaning. Of course, it costs more to build the half height wall and future repairs will be painful, but got to admit that wall mounted loos do look sleek. 
We didn't want to a laundry basket to take up precious floor real estate, but we definitely needed a place to dump dirty clothes. So how? Make a laundry drawer! As seen here, we can pull out the drawer to throw in our clothes and then close it again to keep things neat. Remember to add ventilation holes at the sides! When we received the quote for building the bathroom niche, it was substantial enough for us to seriously consider just getting off the shelf racks or even putting bottles on the baywindow ledge... After a few months of use, I'm glad we bit the bullet to get these niches because they make the bathroom much nearer and I can press the bottle pumps as much as I want without fear of racks falling off! π π Shower system and mixer are from Grohe because we used this brand in our previous home and the metals looked amazing even after ten years. When looking for a basin, we wanted a top mount, oval shaped one with in built tap hole. Had a hard time finding one that meet these criteria! Based on what we saw in other toilets with taps outside the sink, water would pool on the countertop when we use the tap with our dripping hands. Having an in built tap therefore contains all the mess, and provides a platform for putting our soap bottles! The sink area looking cosy with the warm LED lights on. If you notice, our mirror has a three-panelled design, which allows us to check ourselves out 3 ways π€£ Kidding! In actual fact, the reason for the mirror to be curved inwards was more so that we could wash our face or bend towards the sink without our head hitting the mirrored cabinet.
