  • Starting off with our kitchen! Unlike contemporary Asian homes, we opted for a Westernised approach for our kitchen layout primarily because we don’t cook often. Given the general low usage of our kitchen, it just made sense to go for a more compact set up. But I’d be lying if I told you that we didn’t have many discussions on whether we might use the kitchen more in the future, especially when we start family planning. Nevertheless, we still decided to go for a 2 induction stove setup, leaving room to potentially invest in a Thermomix in the future.
  • From the start of our renovation journey, we knew a dishwasher was non-negotiable—and it’s been one of our best decisions yet! It’s been a game changer, especially after cooking meals or hosting guests. Contrary to popular belief, using a dishwasher actually consumes less water compared to washing dishes by hand! While it does use a bit more electricity, this dishwasher has an eco function that helps with energy efficiency. This is still one of my absolute favourite kitchen appliances, hands down!
  • And of course, we can’t miss the highly popularised Wells The One water dispenser. For new BTO owners, I highly recommend joining a group buy for your dispenser — it’s considerably cheaper! Plus, the higher your purchase tier, the more freebies Wells includes. In our case, we received filter replacements and servicing in addition to the discount on the water dispenser itself. Growing up, I always had to boil water and store it in separate jugs for room temperature and cold water. I never realized how much of a game changer it would be to have a water dispenser that offers various temperatures! Now, I can easily enjoy both cold and hot water from a single appliance without the hassle of boiling. Technology is amazing 💯
  • Last but not least, featuring our 2 fridges! No prizes for guessing my husband’s favourite fridge 🤡
