Stir Wars: The Kitchen Awakens 🥘

Hello, thanks for clicking into our post! Our second post features our kitchen. We always envisioned our kitchen to have an island. We feel it helps to demarcate the area while also providing more countertop as well as storage space. Also made sure to include powerpoints for future steamboat parties!
It’s a pity that the shade of wood used for our taobao furniture doesn’t match our laminates. But for the price point & quality, we are more than happy with our loots. 🤣
The original layout of the kitchen was already open-concept. We decided to keep it as we don’t cook often. Also, we like hosting and this layout allows connectivity between the living and dining area!
Opted for a reeded glass door with black frame as we wanted to separate the yard area while still allowing light to flow into our kitchen. (We actually outsourced this to an external vendor to save some moolah!)
All our switches are hidden under a pelmet to hide the visual clutter. We like the countertop clean with minimal things.
Lastly, we decided to include a dry pantry to display some interesting & sentimental items we have. This is also the hubs’ future coffee corner. Thanks for reading till the end! Looking forward to share more about our space in our next post :)
