Hi welcome to our house bathroom post! We are lucky that our maisonette has 3 bathrooms. 2 on the 2nd floor and 1 on the 1st floor. This one above is our master bathroom. We kept things simple and modern and using large 60x60cm homogeneous tiles to reduce grouting and for easier cleaning. The wet area is separated from the dry area using glass shower panels. We opt for a drop down instead of a kerb for the shower area for safety reasons. That wall where the toilet roll is, is boxed up to conceal the sewage pipes that run along the wall all the way up to the LED acrylic panels on the ceiling. It was quite unsightly that’s why we decided to box it up. As we chose to keep our bathroom design simple. This is the only feature wall we have that is in the shower area. We opted for an electric heater with rain shower. Leftover Vulcan for the kitchen countertop was used to make shelves to keep our shampoo and bath gels. A mirror cabinet serves dual purpose to house our facial products and for me to apply makeup. We opted for a wall mount sink. This is much easier to maintain and clean than a countertop sink because water won’t pond around the counter top. Sink Faucet For the bathroom faucets, we chose to go with cylindrical shaped ones with round edges. Such shape faucets keep water away from pooling on the faucets and causing watermarks. Shower faucet This is the common bathroom that is on the second floor that is mostly used by our daughter. Unlike the master bathroom, this bathroom is rectangle and long instead of squarish. We decided to go with greyish-beige tiles with some wood accents unlike the master bathroom which is grey tiles. The feature wall is made up of pastel coloured tiles The sewage pipe is also boxed up. As the boxed up takes up quite a bit of space, a glass panel serves to separate the wet and dry area. The boxed up also allows us to create a recessed area in the wall to put bathroom products. Sink area Also using wall hung sink and round edges faucets. Using similar type of faucet. You can see the feature wall tiles here. This is the final bathroom in our house and it’s the common bathroom on the 1st floor. We didn’t do anything much to this bathroom as it was still in good condition. The design is from the HIP project. All we did was paint the sewage pipes and shifted the sink inside. We also added in a water heater in case guests want to stay overnight. This bathroom is the smallest in our house and due to that we don’t shower here.
