  • Sharing some of the 5 best decisions in our house to make our life easier for upkeep and maintenance! 1) Stone backsplash for the kitchen and countertops. We chose a glossy one for the backsplash for the look and then a matte one for the countertops. So easy to wipe down with no further dirt/stains collected. No grout lines for dust collection! Sintered stone for our bar counter as well so that its extremely easy to clean away any stains and dirt! This is a well used food prep area so its great that it can withstand dirt/heat. 2) Induction hob. Its soo easy to clean. Stain and grease is visible and can easily wipe down so easily! it also acts as additional countertop where we use to prep food/host. 3) Cleaning besties: our Dishwasher & robo vacuum+mop! It is never really a chore after hosting as once we load up the dishes here, we let it do its work! I'm happy to share that our post hosting clean up takes <20min :) The combination of the above, makes it <10min to clean down with soap and water after a round of messy cooking! This is also so damn easy when we host.
  • 4) Integrated sink and countertop is a must for us when we chose the vanities for our toilets. 100% of the time water splashes out on the countertop, whether its clean water, dirty water, toothpaste, soap etc. I have never ever had no splashes onto a countertop even in hotels etc. An integrated sink means theres no issue of mold growing on the underside of the countertop, and its hella easy to wipe down! For people who get irked by dirt/dust/wet areas veryyyy easily (i.e. me), this is a must to make your life easier and less irritated :P
  • 5) Dark coloured laminates for our bottom kitchen carpentry and that dirt and stains don’t show up/discolour/yellow so easily! After which it’s also easy enough to wipe down the cabinets if there are any visible stains.
  • We also ended up using sintered stone slabs for our service yard shelf rack because of how versatile and durable it is!
