This room is not yet completed and is still a work in progress. I have two kids. The elder is a 7-year-old boy, and the younger, a girl, is almost 6 years old. My son has been obsessed with Super Mario since he was 3 years old. He memorizes all the Mario game series from the first one made in 1981 until now. Because I didn't want his room to look too busy and messy, I added a Mario touch with a blanket and some Luigi toys. Seeing his happy expression when he looks at his room is priceless. I added open shelves for books and styled them with his toys I choose not to have built-in cabinets because children grow quickly, transitioning from infancy to toddlerhood and, in the blink of an eye, becoming teenagers. I want this room to evolve according to their needs. Mario is everywhere, from pajamas to underwear :D And this is the room for my girl.. My daughter used to be timid; initially, she was reluctant to sleep alone. However, after seeing a room with lots of pink colors, she found courage and willingly started sleeping on her own. 
I have owned this drawers for a long time. it was originally black. I painted it white and replaced the door handles to make it look new. The wall still feels plain. I am considering installing wallpaper. What do you think? She will enter primary school next year. I bought her a study desk with many drawers so she can store her textbooks. I use boxes to keep things organized. 
Clear boxes make it easier for them to find what they need.
