Ours is a 37-year-old flat, and it comes with a very narrow gate. Sadly, despite trying various permutations, we were not able to come up with a more spacious entryway. Currently, our entryway is right next to our dining area. It consists of a shoe cabinet that also houses our DB Box, with EDL's Natural Beech laminate that matches our oak furniture really well, while a Muji Natural Oak Bench offers seating space for us to put on shoes. The 3-D render of our narrow doorway leading into the entryway. Our preference for oak furniture throughout the apartment sets the tone for a warm and welcoming mood. But we added other decorative elements to make the space even cosier. Like Muji's Interior Fragrance Oil with Rattan Sticks to infuse the entryway with light, refreshing scent, and a houseplant from Plunt.co to add some colour. A close-up of this beautiful plant from Plunt.co! We use this area to keep some of our kids regularly used bags and stroller. We also added rattan hooks, as well as a family photo to greet us every time we come home! The view from the dining room. You can see the dining table is literally next to the entryway, where we take off our shoes. We'd prefer a clearer demarcation, but sadly, both areas are combined. We asked for a niche so that we can use it as a drop zone if miscellaneous stuff like our keys, spare cash and etc.
