  • In the initial design phase I envision my home to be a very eclectic mix of colours and mismatched furniture, and I thought to myself to find a way to blend all these various elements together, and thus I decided on the use of grey and metal textures. Hence the use of grey paint, stainless steel and chrome as a unifying theme to my home's interior style.
  • The use of stainless steel bleeds throughout the home and in the kitchen is no exception. I was inspired by the commercial kitchens I shoot in for my work in photography and videography, and hence I opted for stainless countertops.
  • The look and finishes of the appliances were also carefully considered to ensure the theme runs throughout the home. Thus I only selected this oven and fridge which had metal on the doors.
  • The use of grey is found in the steel works for my home, namely the main door, window grilles and my study door. Once again, this was applied throughout the home as a way to tie everything together.
  • Another look at the window grilles from the outside.
  • The use of aluminium bi-fold doors and aluminium blinds further add to the use of grey and metal throughout the home. To me, grey is such a nice and neutral colour that pairs well with bolder colours to provide that nice contrast.
  • Sim Win Liang is an amazing stainless steel modular shelving system and I used a lot of it in my home studio and office, storing my photography and videography gear in a systematic and easy to access fashion. I love how the height, depth and length of their shelving units are customisable.
