Hi everyone! Presenting our dining space! We absolutely love it as it’s the main area where we host friends and family. Our dining table and chairs are from Taobao, and the entire set cost about S$700, including shipping. Although there are risks with shipping large furniture, we were lucky that our dining table arrived without any damage. We adore the white glossy marble-textured surface, a popular design among homeowners. As for the chairs, two of them had minor scratches, but the Taobao seller replaced them within two weeks. So yes, it’s the perfect set!
Wide angle view of the dining area. The table measures 1.6m x 0.8m, providing enough space to host up to 10 people. Our lights are from Zenterra and Taobao, and we love how the tri-colour light creates different ambiences in our dining space. The chairs are lightweight and have curved sides to provide full support and comfort for our guests.
Here's a close-up of our dining cutlery. We purchased blue and green ceramic plates, which are large enough to hold almost anything! We are interested in food plating, and we hope the cutlery from Taobao will enhance the overall dining experience and appetite. The plates are relatively heavy and very solid. The forks, spoons, chopsticks, and teaspoons can be bought as a set from Taobao, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The faux flowers are also from Taobao, and we're reusing them from our wedding banquet. They were part of our wedding reception area, and we love how their autumn 🍂🤎vibes add to the cozy atmosphere in our home.
The dining plates are huge and easy to wash, making them ideal for homeowners who cook large portions of food or serve steak and salmon fine dining meals!
Lastly, we bought a 1m tall Midea tower fan to cool down our dining space. It's light and portable, easy to move around, and doesn't get in the way. There's really a lot to explore on Taobao and if you would like to find out more, please comment below or DM us @2chocolatecaramel on IG :)
