  • Here’s an overview of our open concept dining area that is connected to our kitchen. The original enclosed kitchen was removed to reveal a spacious connection between the kitchen, dining and living area. We chose a countertop settings similar to our previous house as we like that when we are hosting a big group, the guest can still stand around the area to mingle. We have 3 stools on each sides and due to the curved side, we are able to shift the stools around to allow more space in between the stools. The limewash paint gives the wall a lot of texture and adds depth to a home by bringing out the wabi-sabi vibe for the area!
  • Here you can see how lightings change the ambience of the dining area. We love that with the use of Philips Hue smart lights, it allows us to change out the lighting for different moods: white task light for working, dim light for cosy night or warm white lights for dinner!
  • Here’s some detailing of the edges of the table top! My ID has designed two layers table top to create some design, it is made up of a sintered stone countertop and a layer of laminated wood at the bottom. One thing to share is the texture of sintered stone really brings out the mood of the house. It is also stain resistance and easy to maintain. In addition, as it is non-porous, it is also more hygienic. Perfect as a sdining table top!
  • We have a hidden cabinet facing our dining table! See the next photo on what’s hidden behind it!
  • This is what you will see when you open up the doors! A hidden bar / pantry area with some wine glasses hanging upside down. As oppose to the kitchen Kit Kat tiles, our ID also changed out the backsplash to a tinted glass backing, and it instantly change out the vibe of this area! Our guest are always surprise when we open the doors to show our hidden bar. It has been such a statement area in our house! Let us know what features of our dining area is your favorite and we would love to share more details!
