  • Welcome to the other side of our kitchen! Our service yard is a detached extension from our kitchen peninsula, designed with the intention of having extra storage area, and where our beverage prep area (think coffee, tea, water purifier, etc.) will be placed. We also knew from the head start that we wanted to hack the service yard divider to expand our kitchen and give it a real open space look.
  • Coffee or Tea for you, sir/m'am? hahaha Here is what's on the countertop! The mister creatively used these picture ledges that we got from IKEA as our cup and tea display! Could do better with the organising of the tea bags haha but is still a work in progress for us!
  • The service yard also doubles as our laundry area and it's where we have our Steigen installed. We chose for it to be in black to match the HDB given hardware (lol) The cabinet nearest to the windows are also where we hide our laundry basket!
  • Due to our unit's location, privacy is a bit of an issue and people used to peer into our service yard window which gives an almost complete view of our home. This was an issue for us and we considered installing blinds for these windows, but ultimately decided to go with DIY-ing these "privacy" fluted design stickers which costs significantly lesser and does the job pretty well! That's all for our service yard! Catch us on Instagram at @hausofsoh for more of our home!
