Every time we travel, a bathtub in the hotel always adds joy & we want to bring that joy home. We are really fortunate to have sufficient space (this is the original size and door facing of the bathroom, we did not make any changes) to turn things into reality. The zen feeling of our master bedroom bathroom makes winding down for the day extremely calming for our souls. We wanted a classic and timeless design for our vanity & were shocked at how much it cost to customize one locally. We went on Taobao & saw this perfect vanity cabinet that fits our bathroom. Even the countertop was in theme. We changed out the tap to a higher quality one (also from Taobao) & have no regrets! We knew we didn't want the countertop to be messy, so a wall niche was the solution to keep things tidy. Love how the arch niche creates a soft look. Music during bath time is always a plus. Thus, we placed a radio on the top section of the arch. Adding some greens as well to liven up the space. Hera's bathtub suited our needs and allows customization of size for the bathtub. Hera bathtub requires no hacking & plumbing, making it very convenient. The inner design has a slope feature that allows us to lie comfortably in the tub too. We didn't build a shower screen in the master bathroom as we didn't want it to look too cramp. So we opted for a fountain flow shower fittings and it definitely elevated the overall look. A stainless steel bottle holder is a no-go for us as it is difficult to maintain (always rusty after a while) & not aesthetically pleasing. We built a niche to hold all our bottles and other miscellaneous items. This is the only area in the home that has a pop of color. Other area has been consistent with just white, wood & gold. We decided to be a little bolder with the floor design and color but still keep in theme with white & gold. Love how it turns out. The space in the common bathroom is limited but we still wanted to segregate the wet & dry area. We bought an arch shower screen off Taobao but our ID gave us the wrong size & so we had to repurchase a size smaller - all good now! The gold border was 😍 for us. Say yes to niche walls for the common bathroom too! 😛 To balance out the feels of both bathrooms, we chose a rainshower fitting for the common toilet. The 3-way shower fittings (rain shower, hand shower & shower hose) were a very versatile option. Lastly, we wanted to share our pretty floor trap which is part of our tiles design instead of the usual stainless steel ones. remember to let your ID/contractor know you want this type of floor trap prior to renovation. Do not assume that this is the current standard of all renovations now because it's always better to spell things out clearly to avoid misunderstanding. Have fun designing your bathroom. ❤️
