A Welcoming Foyer The moment you step in, our foyer sets the tone for the rest of the house. We added a half-height glass block wall, which does double duty—it keeps prying eyes out while still letting natural light flow through. Alongside it sits our built-in shoe cabinet, keeping the entryway neat and clutter-free. Living Room: A Space to Unwind Our living room is where we unwind after a long day, binge our favourite shows, or just lounge around. We kept the design simple yet cosy, focusing on warm lighting and functional furniture that makes the space feel inviting without being overly cluttered. It’s also positioned right next to our dining area, making the entire space feel seamless and connected. Dining Room One of the biggest changes we made was knocking down the third bedroom to create a more spacious dining area. Now, we have a dining table that comfortably seats 6–8 people, perfect for gatherings. A bay window by the side adds an extra touch of charm—it’s become a favourite spot to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning or to just gaze out and enjoy a quiet moment. Dry pantry Just outside the kitchen, we have a dry pantry area that makes it easy to grab a coffee, tea, or a glass of water without stepping into the main kitchen. Having this extra space keeps the kitchen less cluttered and makes our morning routine much smoother. Kitchen Our kitchen is separated from the dining and living areas by a trackless glass sliding door, keeping the space feeling open while still being practical. We love how it allows us to contain cooking smells when needed without completely closing off the kitchen. Master Bedroom For the master bedroom, we wanted a cosy retreat, so we went for a king-sized bed with a wooden headboard that adds warmth and texture. Side lights frame the bed, giving off a soft, inviting glow at night. Master Bathroom For our master bathroom, we kept the palette neutral and added thoughtful touches like storage for all our essentials, ensuring it serves as a clutter-free sanctuary at the end of a long day. At the end of the day, our home is a reflection of how we live—cosy yet functional, and designed to make everyday moments feel a little more special. It’s still a work in progress, but that’s part of the fun. For now, we’re just enjoying settling in, one cosy corner at a time. Floor plan of our 4-room BTO before we began works on it.
