Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by and appreciate you taking a moment to check out my post! Whether you are in the middle of renovation, moving into a new space, or just love home decor, I hope my upcoming posts would give you some inspiration! It has been a year since we moved into my existing home, and looking back, the journey from renovation to fully settling in has been both exciting and full of lessons. From picking the right furniture to making home purchases, I’ve learned so much along the way! 🔔 Follow along for more real experiences, smart shopping tips, and cozy home vibes! Let’s make our homes a place we truly love. 💕 Here’s a quick intro to my home: it’s a 65sqm, 3-room resale flat located in the central region. What makes it truly special is the balcony, a unique feature that’s rarely seen in flats of 3rm in SG. When we first visited and looked at the floor plan, we were immediately drawn to its squarish layout too, which is one of the key reasons we fell in love with this unit! This cozy nook in our living room is one of our favorite spots to unwind. The neutral palette, soft textures, and curated decor add a calm, minimalist touch, while the natural light brings the space to life. A different view of our living room. Though it is compact, a little packed, but just right for the only 2 of us. Every piece has its place, and even in a smaller space, we’ve found a cozy balance that works for our daily routines and quiet moments together. We relocated the dining area to sit just after the entrance, turning the original dining space into a dry pantry for our coffee corner (a must for me as a ☕️ person! 😍) The previous layout placed the dining table too close to the bathroom, which didn’t feel quite right. This new setup feels more practical, functional, and cozy for our meals. And we also redesigned and concealed the original DB box to better match our overall theme. We love how the design blends in quietly, yet adds both warmth and purpose to the space. ✌️ This is my favourite corner - coffee corner and for some dried stuffs! Since our home is small, we wanted to fully utilize this area for extra storage. We ended up doing a half-half layout, decorative display on top, hidden storage at the bottom, so the entryway wouldn’t feel too heavy or cramped. Looking at the result now, we’re really happy we went with this setup. It feels both functional and welcoming right as you enter the home.🏠 Our compact kitchen proves that small can still be stylish. With smart storage, warm tones, and clean lines, this space has everything we need. And yes, that old-school boiling kettle may seem a little out of place, but it’s a heartfelt gift from my in-law, so it stays right where it is (and suits to my daily habit for boiling water 😅). It adds a touch of charm and a personal story to the space. Cooking here feels intuitive, and it connects beautifully with the rest of the home’s calm, warm aesthetic. Our MBR - we kept it minimal, calming, and cozy. Earthy tones and gentle lighting create the restful retreat we need after a long day. It’s a space that really feels like us. Back when we were designing the space, my husband insisted on building a slim wardrobe along the narrow hallway in our master bedroom. I wasn’t fully convinced at first, but looking back now, I’m so thankful he stuck to his idea. ☺️ It may look small, but it’s surprisingly spacious and fits way more than I expected. We definitely would’ve run out of storage without it!🤞🏻 Our MBR (master bed room + master bathroom) leans into a darker, moodier tone with shades of grey taking the lead, a contrast to the brighter living area. But to keep things cohesive, we tied it all back to the home’s main palette with warm walnut accents. ⚫️⚪️🟤 Our common bathroom follows the same warm, minimalist theme as the rest of the home. We chose wood laminate finishes, light-toned tiles, and a stone-like basin to keep the look cohesive and calming. Though the space is small, the materials bring a sense of warmth and quiet elegance, just the way we like it and hopefully our guests too. ☺️
