  • The entryway is the first impression of any home, and enhancing the aesthetics of a HDB main door can elevate that welcoming feel. Here you can see my main door twhichhas been newly wrapped for about $350, with the door stopper at the top and our digital lock that blends seamlessly with the door's design. Opting for a finger-grip opening instead of a traditional handle not only makes the door look more streamlined but also improves longevity with fewer moving parts.
  • One detail we decided on was removing the 30cm metal plate at the bottom of our gate. My husband pointed out that unlike HDB gates, where the plate is often necessary to keep the floors clean during power washing, gates in condos or private estates typically don’t have this feature, allowing a clear view of the floor. Since our main door remains closed most of the time, we felt that the bottom plate wasn’t necessary for us.
  • Similarly, we covered the spoilt HDB doorbell with a simple wooden frame to prevent any confusion for visitors. This small addition has worked wonders, making it clear that the doorbell is no longer in use while keeping the overall look of the entryway neat and cohesive.
  • For reference, this is the "Before" photo of my entryway before we changed the colour of the main door.
  • After wrapping the main door, I must say the transformation is significant, and I’m much happier now that all the colours align with the overall theme. It was something that had been on my mind for a while, and I’m so glad we found someone to help wrap it for just $350! If you’d like the contact, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @jomyhome!
