One decision we made to save on costs was to retain the HDB Service Yard doors. This helps maintain separation from our kitchen, preventing cooking smells and fumes from affecting the clothes. We kept things simple by opting out of custom carpentry for our service yard. Instead, we selected patterned tiles to add some visual interest—hopefully, it’ll make doing chores a bit more enjoyable! Our automated laundry rack and 6-tier shelving are definitely our top finds from Taobao! Both came in under $300. The shelving is perfect for storing hangers, laundry capsules, and other odds and ends. We're also excited to add a plant to this space soon! On the other side of our yard, you'll find our top-load washing machine. A big shoutout to my handy husband for adding reeded stickers to the service yard windows! Not only do they boost privacy, but they also elevate the space while keeping the sunlight just right. For all those interested in our taobao hauls, do follow us on instagram (loafy.haus) and we might do a highlight on it soon! Happy Weekend!
