Here’s a little peek into one of the quieter corners of our home. Our service yard/laundry area. This space might not be the star of the house, but it plays such a big part in keeping everything running smoothly. We went for a clean, natural look here with warm wood tones for the cabinets, a crisp white countertop, and just a touch of black to keep things modern.
The big windows flood the room with light, making even the simplest tasks feel a bit more pleasant. It’s functional without feeling cold where everything has its place, and there’s still room for a little greenery to bring some life into the space.
Above the washing machine, we intentionally kept the space clear. It’s perfect for folding or sorting out laundry right after it’s done. No clutter, just clean surfaces to make things easier. The sink next to it comes in handy too, especially for those delicate clothes that need a little extra care. It’s practical and straightforward, designed to keep the workflow smooth.
Across from the counter, we’ve got our laundry bags lined up, nothing fancy, just practical. We always sort whites and colors here, keeping things simple and organized. It’s such a small habit, but it makes a big difference when it’s time to do the wash.
The ceiling-mounted drying rack is hands-down one of the best decisions we made for this space. For those of us who aren’t fans of hanging freshly washed clothes outside whether it’s because of privacy or just not wanting to deal with Singapore’s unpredictable weather, this is a total game-changer. Rain or shine, laundry gets dried without a hitch. It’s definitely an investment, but one that’s completely worth it. We also made sure the remote control stick has its own dedicated spot near the shelves. It’s such a small detail, but having a place for it means no more scrambling to find it or worrying about it falling somewhere awkward.
Lastly, we seamlessly integrated concealed storage cabinets keeping everything neat and organized, every detail serves a purpose so it looks clutter-free.
