• Our kitchen's layout is pretty straightforward with it being open concept, what you see is what you get. But of course, injecting a bit of our own hausofsoh flavour ;)
• Here we have a long display shelf which we use to house the appliances that we frequently use; namely our microwave, rice cooker, and air fryer. The layer that the air fryer is on is also a pull out shelf, which helps us dispel the heat emitted from the air fryer after use, lowering the chances of the laminates by the side of the appliance to pop due to heat differences.
• We also requested for our ID to create a condiment drawer for us beside our stove! This helps us keep the unsightly bottles away from the counter top. (Almost) one year in and we've been cooking a lot at home! The number of bottles we have speaks for itself. We're trying to find a better way we can minimise the number of such bottles we have so that we still keep this drawers tidy without entirely living the motto of "out of sight, out of mind"! Any suggestions on how this can be done would be greatly appreciated!
• We initially bought IKEA'S UPPDATERA Cutlery Tray thinking that it fits our home perfectly. We excitedly lug it home but to our dismay... the tray was too big for our drawer :( We really liked the wooden design of it and so we (I) searched for something similar from Taobao and we found this cutlery tray which fits perfectly because it's customised to our dimensions! There were a few different standard configurations to choose from, or you could fully design it the way you want it to be. If you know us..... too many options is a bad thing so we just went with the former and chose a design that works best for us, and voila!
