Turning a dream home into reality is indeed a blessing. Self-designing a modern home that reflects my personality has been a joyful experience. Our new home is located in Tampines, and we just moved in over a month ago. Having a big pillar in the middle of the kitchen didn't stop me from making my dream of building a large kitchen island come true. Not only for cooking, the large island is very useful during my work as a photographer. The island fits 4 counter stools perfectly, just right for the four of us. With a home renovation costing less than $40k and some DIYs, the aesthetics are still impressive.
The pillar devided the kitchen island into two sides, one side for the dining area and the other for food preparation. We custom-made a dining plate as a wall light on the pillar.

We have a 2-meter oak dining table that can fit 8 pax, perfect for gathering.
A cozy, spacious and airy living room , comfortable staying in all day long.
Our master bedroom is designed with creamy tones that brings coziness and a warm feel.
A DIY wall art to give the room texture and personal touches.
