My Vanity Area: Cozy & Functional Corner 🎀

Welcome to my little intimate corner where I start & end my days 💁🏻♀️💋✨ My vanity area is in the master bedroom, right next to our bed! Back in my childhood home, I didn’t have a dedicated vanity area so I usually stand or sit on the floor at my wardrobe (where the mirror is at). Now that I have my own home, I wanted a seated area for vanity purposes (pun intended) 🎀 My little corner includes an overhead wall light to illuminate the area at night, an irregular-shaped mirror & a boucle fabric stool! The vanity table is 60cm x 60cm & comes with a drawer to store my makeup 💄 On hindsight, I would have planned for a smaller vanity table so that I could squeeze a King-sized bed instead. For those contemplating to get Queen or King-sized bed, please get the latter! You’ll thank me next time 😂 
*Organization Tip* Get these IKEA drawer inserts for your bedroom, living room or bathroom organization! They are super helpful :) 
*Hair Dryer Storage Tip* One of my concerns was to have a space where I could use & store my hairdryer easily! As my drawer space is not as deep (previous pic), it wouldn’t be ideal to increase drawer depth to store the hairdryer as the vanity table could turn out to be ‘too high’ while I’m sitting down. My ID came up with this idea to carve out an accessible cabinet space to store the hairdryer with a PowerPoint inside! Hence, I’ll just need to bend down to open the cabinet & turn on the switch 🎀

I’m glad that it’s a functional idea which solves my main pain point of this corner ✌🏻However, do note that as this space is carved out, it’ll mean a smaller space in the actual wardrobe!
