Welcome to our kitchen! As you can see, this is an open-concept kitchen. We do not regret this decision at all! it really opened up the space in our living room and made the living room seem a lot bigger. Of course, it really depends on how much you cook and what you cook! As 2 full-time working DINKs, we don't cook that often. Even when we cook, we do more blanching, boiling, one pot meals. We do not stir fry that much, so it doesn't get too oily! If things really do get a bit oily, we use this trusty fan! It helps the air circulate and the smell will dissipate after a while. We decided on an induction cooker from Mayer - with the integrated hood. The induction cooker has worked really well for us. Super easy to use, sensitive and cooks fast! I've heard some induction cookers take very long to heat up, but this is not the case for Mayer at all! We use these appliances the most - microwave to heat up left overs and rice cookers for one pot meals. We also use this dispenser all the time! This water dispenser is the most-used machine in our kitchen. We also bought a ninja cooker, but I've not explored using it. This is our sink! The tap is extendable so its very convenient for us to wash the sink too. I love the gun metal finishing. We got 2 matching bottles and labelled them - hand soap and detergent. We also purchased these sink hooks for our sponges. This is where we dry our utensils! Our ID installed this for us. Our only regret is not getting a larger dish rack. With this dish rack, we can only put the smaller plates. Hence, we purchased this small disk rack from ikea for the larger plates / bowls and for the cutting boards. We also installed our washing machine in the kitchen! We do not have a service yard, and we had to make do with the space we had around the house. More on this later!
