  • We recently bought some very affordable items from IKEA and Nitori to tidy up our kitchen peninsula!
  • Previously, this area of the countertop looked very cluttered with different cooking oils in their original bottles of varying heights sticking out. The different colours of the packaging was also such an eyesore. Our sugar was also kept in its original bag, together with snacks all casually placed on the counter.
  • I decanted the oils into small bottles from Nitori and the countertop looks so much neater now with a more uniform look! It's also practical since these small bottles are easier to handle when cooking. The sugar is now in a canister that can conveniently be opened with one hand.
  • Loose snacks were removed from their packaging and are now hidden in a woven basket or kept neatly in the airtight glass jar. Both are from IKEA. I love how the basket would fit in other areas of the home to hold something else when the snacks are finished!
  • Here we have a niche for our small oven. A tension rod is use to hold our paper towel roll and hand towel. They also help to hide the empty space a little.
  • Inside the niche, 3M hooks hold items such as the oven mitts and bowl gripper. This keeps them out of sight but still within easy reach.
