  • Welcome to our Master Bathroom. We have a His and Hers Bathroom as we want to fully utilise both bathrooms and also to prevent quarrels. IYKYK Hahaha! The girls of the house use this bathroom while the man uses the other Bathroom. In this post, we'll focus on Her Bathroom and perhaps show you Mr's bathroom another time. :) Let's have a look at the Before..
  • To be honest, we were a bit puzzled when we first saw the master bathroom layout. Because of the WC placement, we are left with a very tight space for our sink. My first thoughts were, "Will there be enough space for us to brush our teeth? Will my head hit on the glass partition when I use the toilet? 😅" The swing door also hinders movement around the bathroom. But we try our best to make it work with proper planning and design. :)
  • This is the After.. We still kept the same layout because relocating WC can be tricky and pricey. Instead, we search high and low for the slimmest and smallest WC and sink to maximise our tiny floor space. We chose a mixture of beige and grey marble looking tiles to create a calm and relaxed vibe with a glass partition in between to separate the dry and wet area. The glass partition also allows more natural light to shine into the bathroom. We also made a mini slope down at the wet area instead of a kerb for a more seamless look as well as to prevent our little bean or older folks from tripping while using our bathroom.
  • We designed a smaller vanity cabinet with a latch at the side to make it look more roomy and uncluttered. The latch is used to put some display to brighten up the space. I chose drawers so I can easily reach stuff at the back of the cabinet without bending. Not much space for me to bend also. 😆 We have extra storage space behind our mirrors, too. Girls need our storage! :)
  • My daughter and I are light sleepers, and we wanted a door that blocks out all the light, noise and odour coming from the bathroom. Having a pocket door is one of the best decisions as it looks seamless and does not take up space in our bathroom or bedroom. The door has matching laminate with our wardrobe, too.
  • This is probably one of my favourite decors at home. Hehe.
  • We have 2 light switches for the bathroom. One that controls the ceiling lights and the other controls the ambience light (LED lights from acrylic panels and mirror). We usually use the ambience light as it gives a more soothing feel. I'll use the ceiling lights when I'm washing the bathroom. Overall, we are still happy with how our bathroom turned out despite the awkward layout. :) Anyone has a similar Bathroom layout? I would love to see how you design your space. :) Stay connected on IG @rachieehome.
