  • Welcome to our master bathroom! We wanted to design this bathroom like a balinese resort in mind. Notice the seamless sintered stone top that goes over to the toilet area. This is the reason why we changed out the HDB toilet bowl to a wall hung WC. My mirror cabinet is also very functional where we can have a lot of storage for skincare and dental care products. Husband chose this laminate to look really close to real wood, Liam Giethoorn Oak from Lamitak. He loved the realism of the wood and the 'eyes' pattern on the wood laminate. Used the same laminate for the mirror cabinet.
  • Due to the size of the HDB wall, somehow, we cannot fit the tap in the top middle of the basin, but only at the top right side of it, angled at 45 degrees. If we try to fit it on the top middle, the sink will protrude out of the wall, and the glass door we wanted to install will bang into the whole vanity. As this position is difficult to turn the handle of the tap left or right, we got this tap from american standard that you have to press on it to on the tap instead, matched with an american standard undermounted sink. Some people resolve this by doing a 45 degree angle near the door for the vanity itself, i wonder how did you guys solve this ? :)
  • The feature wall of our master bathroom are these beautiful banana leaf tiles! We fell in love with these tiles at first sight during our tiles selection and decided to incorporate them into the bathroom design! Managed to fit a 160cm freestanding bathtub from HERA. I loved bathtub and also love my shower time with my son and yes to more skin to skin time even when he's no longer a newborn, will do so until he's too old to have a bath with me haha.
  • Grohe mixer with american standard hand shower. My husband is all about lasting fittings so he was against buying the fixtures off from taobao as his personal preference is to minimise water marks and fading etc. Loving their aesthetics too.
  • Now welcome to our guest bathroom! Similar to the master, we did acrylic panels with LED lights for both to create a warm cove light ambience. We want the vanity to be seamless to the partition wall and leave no gaps, bought 2x 80cm pvc slabs from hera, the wooden colour on top and the black one below. This is to continue the resort vibe while donning a darker ambience here for the guest bathroom to my husband's liking. Bought the storage mirror cabinet off the shelves from Sim Siang Choon. Storage is a must for us even for the common bathroom mirror!.. We store baby's nappy cream and etc here. The stool below is for my son to step on to brush his own teeth in the future. It is also convenient for us to sit on it to shower him. This stool from IKEA fits snugly.
  • Spot the tiny plant! My husband wants a big basin as one of his requirement. I think this is big enough haha! If you look close enough, the grey tiles are of the same series as the master bathroom's brownish tiles, just different colours so the two bathrooms are cohesive in design despite the colour differences!
  • Our feature wall here is a tiles with some textures to it, Literally you can touch it and it feels like stones stacked onto each other. Incorporating the nature like stones and wood is one key thing to make your bathrooms look like a balinese resort bathroom!
  • So where did we hide our shampoo ledge? Inside the partition wall theres 2 shampoo niches! Big enough to store these big body soap bottles! I wonder why they are so big though, value for money, I'm not complaining! Not sacrificing functionality even with aesthetics!
  • We did not change out the toilet bowl and used the HDB provided one from Signature by Legend. These fittings are from taobao. Husband is questioning the durability especially for the drilled on towel hanger and we shall see haha.. Thank you all for reading!
