Our Dining space: Hearty conversations to update our Kaypoh database!

Today we're sharing our dining space, where we share meals with the ones we love and cherish everyday. The dining space has also become an important avenue to host guest, as most guest come over with an empty stomach. Wahaha! For those curious, our wall is a limewash paint by Vasari. The color is SESAME!
When we have guest over, we will set the table for hosting, draw the curtains and cosy up the space. Here's an example on how we would style the space. The styling would change depending on the occasion, for e.g. CNY or christmas. Our dining space is actually continuous with the living room and we can easily watch TV from the dining table as well.
Our dining table is a 1.8m dining table from Taobao. This dining table can comfortable fit up to 6 pax. We placed a cushioned bench on 1 side and 2 chairs on the other. We bought the cushioned bench on Taobao as well. This is our worst purchase from Taobao unfortunately. On the contrary, the dining table is the best purchase! Sturdy and aesthetic!
The centre piece of our dining space is this pendant lamp from Moongkle. We were not able to find any other pendant lamp that better match our Japandi theme other than this one that caught our eye. We bought it instantly and got our electrician to install it.
The illumination from this light is not too bright and not too warm, which is just nice. This is how it looks like when we turn it on. Our dining space also features a painting we bought from Pretty Major Homes! This piece is titled 'Autumn leaves' and it is so cosy and fits so well into our Japandi theme.
To level up your hosting game, you must invest in nice and functional dinnerwares! All my dinnerwares are from Table Matters! As the saying goes, "we eat with our eyes first". Let us present to you our latest housewarming gift, this beautiful pair of purple orchid (they're real btw).

We got matching dining chairs that goes so well with the dining table, it looks as if they are one set! Quite comfy too, doesn't require much assembly, came as is. We actually got a total of 4 dining chairs, in case we have friends and relatives over.
As I mentioned earlier, this is one of our worst purchase from Taobao. We picked the color of the legs to be walnut so it will match our dining table but we were shocked that it came in this color instead. We tried to clarify with the shop on Taobao but honestly.. it is so difficult to coordinate with them (our chinese is not that great and shipping this over took 2 months by sea). We just decided to live with it in the end. ): Therefore, I will not be recommending this bench.. however, if you are still keen, you can comment down below and we will reply with the link to this bench. This is a 1.4m bench with cushion that cannot be removed for washing. However, you can febreze and steam clean.
The top number 1 complain about Singapore is 'it is so hot!!!!' To circumvent this, we installed a corner fan that exclusively points towards the dining table. We found it particularly useful especially when we are having steamboat haha!
