  • Hola! Welcome back - this time to our living room 👋🏻 you’re looking at a standard 4-rm BTO size living room which is basically a “cute-looking” square 🫢 ngl we did a major change during renovation which is to hack the L-shaped wall between living room and Bedroom 3! This enabled our public space to be much bigger. Read on to find out how we transformed the space~
  • As we hacked the wall between living room & bedroom 3, we swapped the usual configuration of the TV & sofa to this! I would say it’s a pretty basic living room with necessities - TV (hubs insisted on 65” for his football games), TV console, sofa & speakers! Since it’s a small space, we didn’t have room for a singular lounge chair or hammock (love all your homes with this!). However, I still love this space very much as we sometimes have our cozy TV meals & chill with our doggo, Benji here 🐶
  • Here’s the reveal of the space! You can ‘see’ through our supposed Bedroom 3, which we now transformed into our Dining Room! One thing, however, is that due to the structural wall (which cannot be hacked according to HDB guidelines), half of our guests won’t be able to see the TV from Dining Room 😂 This is not a big deal when there’s only two of us since we can easily configure two chairs to face the TV!
  • Benji says hi 👋🏻🐶🫢 yes he’s allowed on the sofa 😅
  • Here’s another view! On the left, I have some of my favourite plants! On the right, we have our shoe cabinet & storage area. A quick tip if you’re going for a Japandi vibe - regarding our laminates & vinyl flooring choices, I was mindful to pick wood grains that match each other whereby they won’t be clashing! This is in line with a clean, Japandi look which I’m going for 🪵
  • Other than storage, our ID also carved out a column for us to display pieces that we love. It currently holds travel memories and books that I love 🎀🫶🏻
  • An organisational hack for your vacuum cleaner - have your contractor / ID install a PowerPoint socket inside carpentry where it’s easy for you to grab & clean! This way, you plan a ‘home’ for your vacuum cleaner and it’ll look neater on the outside ✨
