Blending simplicity and serenity, my Japandi-inspired studyroom is a peaceful retreat where minimalism meets natural beauty. A space designed for focus, creativity, and calm. We furnished this room with loose furnitures, as we might change things up in the future. For now, it's a work from home station. It's the only room in the entire house that is not renovated. We painted the walls, installed the curtains and air conditioner and buy all the remaining furnitures off the shelf. Over at our full height windows, we place beautifully crafted wooden stool from Muji which holds a small potted Pachira aquatica tree with gracefully curved branches, adding a touch of tranquility and nature to the space. A soft, natural light filters in, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere. This is a cozy and relaxing corner by a sunlit window, perfect for unwinding. We bought our computer desk from Aegis, on shopee. It is cheaper than other brands like Omnidesk but still serves the purpose. It even have built in cup holder and a stand to hold your headphones! Beneath, we placed a rug that we made. It's actually bubu dudu haha! Feeling cute! Ahhh.. the figurine is the epitome of Monday. It’s the sense of having your time reclaimed, of your autonomy and sense of peace taken over by to-do lists, meetings, and expectations. The weekend's relaxation feels like a distant memory, and no matter how much coffee or energy you try to muster, it's hard to shake off that relentless wave of “here we go again.” Mister is a fan of shrimp as pets. Now that we have our own place, he has reignited his interest and decided to keep his own tank of heibi (sakura shrimp?). He would stare into the tank before work and after work, maybe sometimes in between work too(?) just to check on them. Perhaps it's the freedom they possess as they glide freely through the tank that he find peace in. Just another day in the tank for my little blue shrimp, gracefully gliding through the water like it owns the place! 💙🐚 That's all from us for this post about our common bedroom that we furnished into our work from home station! Ironically, we are crafting this post in the very room we are introducing to you guys in detail haha! Up next, our toilets!
