  • Welcome to our first plant corner! This area of the house is where our passion for plants started growing. We have a mixture of real and fake plants in the house because of the limited sunlight we get.
  • Recently, our posts have been a bit late but we have a good reason for it - there are some hints in the picture below. Stay tuned for our Kitchen post to find out why! This is part of our study area where we keep our small plants until they are big enough to join our main plant corner. We also love the scenery we get from here, adding to our little urban jungle. Whenever we need a break from work, we will just look at the view outside - we have a nice view of the neighborhood chickens often accompanied by the crowing of roosters and sounds of insects. If we are lucky, we will see dogs and cute kids walking at the park connector below our house.
  • This is our cactus and little plant recovery corner in Bedroom #2. This is where we get the most light in the house which is why it is the most suitable for our cacti and also why we decided to turn this area into a recovery corner for our dying and sick plants. We are glad to say that most of them have recovered well and made it back out to their respective plant corners.
  • This is probably our most unique plant in the house so far - the Lego Cherry Blossoms! As you can see from the second picture, we have recently become interested in puzzling. After completing that big puzzle, we decided to try out some Lego flowers so that they can be used as decoration around the house. These flowers also fit the theme of this space which is our board game area.
  • This is our festive cactus! During the holidays, we decorate this cactus according to the festivity. For the rest of the year, we replace the pompoms with rainbow coloured pompoms. We would definitely recommend you guys to be creative with your festive decorations and think out of the box!
  • This is one of the first few plants we got - the Pink Princess - which we got from our go-to plant store, Homegrown. From time to time when the lighting is nice and the shadows fall perfectly, we like taking scenic shots like this to update our Instagram page @simeitaiji.
  • This was the first plant we saw even before we bought the house. Against all odds, without soil and insects eating it, it has still survived and blossomed until today. So our very first plant corner was set up on the opposite side of this wall, next to this miracle plant. Jiayou! Ok, bye, time to water our plants now!
