  • Here's to share the fun journey of renders vs reality! 1 thing we realised thru this journey is that renders wont really 100% capture everything especially the loose items, so you don't need to 100% love everything in the render. But it does help alot to get to at least 70% of what you love!
  • The angle of this shot looks pretty alike no? We kept the beige wall on 1 of the walls, the 4 beams and the ceiling fan, and the double layered curtains!
  • For us the renders was important to get the renovation details right - like the laminates and tiles and vinyls chosen. At the very least the reno details should appear true to reality!
  • Somehow, the inspo for our gallery wall also make sense to fit 4 photo frames! Hence looking very similar to the renders. Our dining pendant we already knew we wanted this hence already requested the ID to try to render it in :P Otherwise we spent quite sometime deciding on the bar stools and the dining table+chairs.
  • We asked for soo many versions of the toilet renders because we were quite worried that the bold printed, coloured tiles won't match! We tried to go more bold only in the toilets.
  • We somehow thought that 1 wall will be sufficient for that statement green subway tiles, and kept the rest of the bathroom neutral, luxurious and spa like. It makes a lovely shower/toilet experience!
  • We did quite some works in the kitchen cabinets as well so we needed to make sure it is as per what we discussed and also the colour of the laminates went well together. I think it looks very close to what we had in mind when we referenced our mood board!
  • We love the contrast in real life! And the gorgeous statement backsplash. We ended up really liking how the champagne beige and our walnut wood laminates turned out! We also had fun choosing the different gold hardwares in the house, playing around with handles and knobs and pulls.
  • We literally didn't change much for the entryway as its intended to be a simple carpentry to increase storage and kept discreet.
  • Eventually there the depth was not deep enough to put the shoe rack on the right, but we like it better this way! Keeps the dirty shoes outside.
  • We played around a little bit with the paint colours in the MBR and kept the rest of the room quite straightforward with carpentry and lights. This simple layout turned out very functional and efficient for us!
  • After we moved in, we realised our bed's headboard height is quite close to the half wall paint. After staring at it long enough, we are thinking we probably should have painted it up to 3/4 wall height just so that it looks more intentional. Oh wells! but nothing we cannot live with! We also bought a matching bedside table on the right to match the rest of our carpentries in the bedroom!
