Hello there! We are @haositgoying — a couple in our late 20’s. Fun fact: Our username is a word play on our chinese names, which was kindly suggested by our PWS photographer Soju&Shots! 🥹 Kicking off our first post on Hipvan with our favourite space in the house - our living room!
Our bomb shelter is located near the entryway, which gives our living room a rectangular shape. To create a more even look, we built a partition wall with wooden support, allowing us to mount the TV in the center of the space.
The living room is where we spend most of our time, and we wanted it to feel spacious and minimal. When you first enter the home, you’ll be greeted with this massive sofa from Castlery.
Stepping into the living room, you’ll notice the 2.4m floating TV console spanning the plain wall. The living room gets plenty of morning sunlight but we didn’t want to block it out completely, so we chose sheer day curtains to let in natural light while keeping the space airy.
For the flooring, we went with the coral rock vinyl from Floor Xpert which has a subtle pink tint. The pink becomes more noticeable when the lights are on, and we really love how it gives the home a showroom-like vibe. (Pic credits to Floor Xpert)
We also added a mirror on the side to break up the minimal look, though we’re thinking about swapping it for a plant in the future!
The vibe we usually go for on movie nights - just our TV and our donut lamp. Happy to be part of Season 7’s ambassadors! Looking forward to slowly unveil the rest of our humble abode in the coming weeks. Till then! :)
