Hey there! we are itshomelee, family of 4 + 1 doggo. Join us as we share more about our second and probably final home, a 30 year-old Maisonette in the northeast of SG. The theme of our home is warm japandi as we want to create a welcoming vibe for us to chill and relax. We wanted to create more open spaces and reduce the amount of exposed clutter. Hence, you would see quite a few in-built carpentry and clear segregation of areas. This is my personal favorite spot. There are a few times where I fell asleep on the sofa (partly because I was too lazy to walk upstairs to the bed). The addition of plants breaks away the emptiness of the open spaces. We love the look of our orange pastel well. The feature wall is a partition wall that utilises the recess area of the older HDB flats. Yay to one less carpentry! At the back of the living room is an artwork of pointillism by Antoniuk Nadiia. Inspired by many western homes on pinterest, an idea that will save my back in the long run. Will share more about this in our upcoming posts. Always wanted to be a plant parent in my first home, but it small and lacked sunlight. Now I can finally do it! Separate powder room between the kitchen and the balcony. This proves to be very useful for handwashing items on our 600mm countertop sink from TOTO. Oil painting of the sunrise that we captured in 2015 (i think...) in Mount Alishan, Taiwan. Commissioned by Behshad Arjomandi. Outside of our Level 2 common bathroom. Having fun with the colours for the bathroom used mainly by our kids. Sometimes, we sneak inside to shower as the bathroom is bigger than ours!
